Henry was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in March. The surgeon at Bristol Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,750, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $6,200 short. my father has been in and out of Bristol Orthopedic Institute since March. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,750 is more than we can find. While we wait, Henry struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Henry won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
