Help Hélène replace the gearbox and return to work
Without my pickup Hélène can't work; a $1,150 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my pickup. 5 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $590
• Labor charges: $150
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $290
• Towing and inspection: $120
