A cat named Max needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $2,550 bill the family can't cover.

Max is my cat of two years. On 6 July we rushed to Rockford Animal Hospital with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $2,550.
They have stabilized Max, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Max is more than a pet - Max is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $320 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Rockford Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,550
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $650
• Medication and follow-up visits: $110
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $240
