Help Hazel get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
Hazel served six years in the infantry; $3,100 would cover a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom1,074 views
Elijah served six years in the infantry and was discharged in 2023 with a service-related knee injury. He has been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote comes to $3,100.
Elijah is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $3,100 goes:
• Training provider fees: $1,100
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,350
• Transport to appointments: $380
• Essential household items: $270
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
