Help Hauwa keep her home - 5 months behind on rent
A cut in working hours left Hauwa short on rent for 5 months; help us stay in our home.

When my hours were cut in half in May, Hauwa fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a termination letter was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $400.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, the family must leave.
There are 3 children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Hauwa has started working night deliveries, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
