Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Monday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 325 each week. Donations have dropped by about 55% this summer, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Faisalabad market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $400 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $190 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $55 • Baby formula and diapers: $90 • Refrigeration and electricity: $65 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Hassan

        • take care, Hassan. Your post was clear and honest. My husband and I read this together. Blessings.

          • Wishing you the best. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.
