Help Harsh pay for gallbladder removal at Saint Francis Hospital
After osteoarthritis in the right knee, Harsh was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Harsh was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in August. The surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,250, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $950 short.
my brother has been in and out of Saint Francis Hospital since August. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Harsh struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Harsh won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $950 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $490
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $220
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $50
• Post-operative medication: $60
• Physiotherapy sessions: $80
• Travel and lodging for the family: $50
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending good thoughts, Aarti. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Thane
Wishing you the best, Aarti. This could happen to any of us. Take care
