Help Hanna keep the the Second Helping pantry stocked
The the Second Helping pantry in Gondar is running low just as demand rises; $410 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 134 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 42% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Gondar market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $410 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $270
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $60
• Baby formula and diapers: $75
• Refrigeration and electricity: $5

Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is $270 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for looking so closely.
