Help Halima keep the Open Hands Pantry pantry stocked
The Open Hands Pantry pantry in Nsukka is running low just as demand rises; $350 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Sunday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 196 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 53% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nsukka market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $350 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $195
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $95
With deep gratitude,
Halima

keep going, Halima. More neighborhoods should do this.
Keep going, Halima. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Laval!
Keep going, Halima. I hope things turn around soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Nsukka
sending love. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
