Help Hala keep the the Thursday Table pantry stocked
The the Thursday Table pantry in Shubra is running low just as demand rises; $400 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Wednesday from the back of a community center. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 244 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 47% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Shubra market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $400 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $20
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $150
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $230
Thanks for being kind about this.

hope things get better soon, Hala. Hope this works out for you. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
