Help Greyson replace the gearbox and return to work
Without my food truck Greyson can't work; a $1,600 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my food truck. 8 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,600. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $990
• Labor charges: $320
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $135
• Towing and inspection: $155
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Best of luck, Greyson. I hope things turn around soon.
So sorry you're going through this. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Nairobi this morning. Blessings.
Thinking of you and your family. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Kochi.
Take care, Greyson. Hope this works out for you.
