Wendy, my sister, passed away on 14 September after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 85 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,150 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 19 September. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Wendy to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $4,150 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $1,750 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,600 • Transport of the deceased: $330 • Memorial gathering for the family: $470 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
