Gökhan was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in October. The oncology team at Istanbul Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in January. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Gökhan is 50, worked as a nurse until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Istanbul Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,350 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $570 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $210 • Scans and lab work: $400 • Transport to Istanbul Regional Medical Center: $170 Please ask me anything in the questions section.
