Help Gloria save Ziggy - surgery needed
Ziggy, Gloria's rabbit, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $2,600.
🇦🇺 Mandurah, Western Australia, AustraliaPosted Jun 30, 2025455 views
Ziggy is my rabbit of nine years. On 7 June we rushed to Mandurah Animal Hospital with severe tick fever. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $2,600.
They have stabilized Ziggy, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Ziggy is more than a pet - Ziggy walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $310 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Mandurah Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Ziggy's recovery.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $2,000
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $185
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $415
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope things get better soon, Gloria. Poor Ziggy, hope they feel better soon. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from San Diego.
