I make my living with my food truck. 4 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,500. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $1,500 goes: • Towing and inspection: $80 • clutch assembly replacement (parts): $1,300 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $120 Thanks for reading all this. - Gloria

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Gloria

    • Gloria MoranOwnerAnswer

It's all in the list in the story. towing and inspection is the big one at $80, I'll post a receipt when it's paid.

Thanks for sharing this, Gloria. Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
