Help Genesis pay for spinal decompression surgery at Saint Francis Hospital
After gallstones with repeated infections, Genesis was cleared for spinal decompression surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Genesis was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in July. The surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended spinal decompression surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $5,950 short.
my wife has been in and out of Saint Francis Hospital since July. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Genesis struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Genesis won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $5,950 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $3,000
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $1,750
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $210
• Post-operative medication: $150
• Physiotherapy sessions: $560
• Travel and lodging for the family: $280
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
