I make my living with my delivery van. 6 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $250 goes: • fuel pump replacement (parts): $135 • Labor charges: $55 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $45 • Towing and inspection: $15 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Gauri

Updates from Gauri

  1. Wanted to say thank you properly. 52% funded and I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($130 in total) I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. Quick update: $30 raised so far (12%). the first invoice got paid this week. Receipts coming as soon as I have them. - Gauri
