Garima was diagnosed with cervical cancer in October. The oncology team at Kozhikode Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Garima is 32, worked as a nurse until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Kozhikode Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
