Funmilayo was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July. The oncology team at Wudil Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Funmilayo is 56, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Wudil Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $580

Sure. The biggest one is household costs while unable to work, $210. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Let me know if you want more detail.
