Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Monday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 372 each week. Donations have dropped by about 34% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Heraklion market and keep every receipt. Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $1,050 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $460 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $510 • Refrigeration and electricity: $80 I hope life is good to you.

Updates from Fotini

  1. Thank you all. We're at 6% now ($63). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward refrigeration and electricity.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 5% now ($48). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts.
