Help Feyza keep the Open Hands Pantry pantry stocked
Feyza runs a volunteer pantry feeding 329 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Thursday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 28 families, and now we feed 329 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 40% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bornova market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $750 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $410
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $220
• Baby formula and diapers: $75
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
