Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Monday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 20 families, and now we feed 325 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 33% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Lagos market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $300 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $70
• Refrigeration and electricity: $55
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $175
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

so sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Lagos.
Praying for you, Festus. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
Sending strength, Festus. Looking forward to the next update. Take care
