Chiamaka, my grandmother, passed away on 27 February after a sudden heart attack. She was 59 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $400 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 11 March.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Chiamaka to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
