Faith was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in June. The surgeon at Saint Anne Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $13,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $6,800 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Anne Hospital since June. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $13,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Faith struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Faith won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
