Help Fábio keep the Community Pantry pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Niterói.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Thursday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 318 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 49% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Niterói market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $950 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $580
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $170
• Baby formula and diapers: $150
• Refrigeration and electricity: $50
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
Updates from Fábio
Good news. Because of your gifts ($627 in total) the plan for refrigeration and electricity is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Thank you all. We're at 25% now ($239). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for refrigeration and electricity is now scheduled.

Thinking of you and your family, Fábio. This could happen to any of us.
Sending strength, Fábio. Shared this with my family. Sent it to 34 people at work. Thinking of Niterói
