The water account is 2 months behind. Evelyn received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $700 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in August.
Evelyn called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $100 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through the rainy season without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Evelyn is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
