The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. Evelyn received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $900 is paid. She had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Evelyn called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $100 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through the rainy season without electricity and water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Evelyn is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
