Evelyn is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at Dallas State College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,500. The registrar has said Evelyn can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Evelyn has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Evelyn would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Evelyn isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Dallas State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $4,500 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $2,200 • Final term tuition: $1,900 • Exam and lab fees: $160 • Textbooks and materials: $240 Thank you so much. - Jack
