Ye-jin, my wife, passed away on 5 September after a stroke. She was 88 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,450 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 15 September. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Ye-jin to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $3,450 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $1,900 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,100 • Transport of the deceased: $210 • Memorial gathering for the family: $240 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
