Eranga was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in August. The oncology team at Negombo Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Eranga is 56, worked as a hairdresser until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Negombo Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,450 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,300 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $75 • Transport to Negombo Regional Medical Center: $75 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Nuwan
