Help Enes keep the the Harvest Pantry pantry stocked
Enes runs a volunteer pantry feeding 95 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.
🇹🇷 Bornova, İzmir, TürkiyePosted Oct 1, 2026843 views
Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Friday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 95 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 30% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bornova market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $650 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $530
Glad we found this place.

Wishing you the best. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best!
Praying for you, Enes. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
