Emmanuel was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in May. The surgeon at Makati Community Hospital recommended spinal decompression surgery, and He is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,400, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,450 short.
my son has been in and out of Makati Community Hospital since May. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Emmanuel struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Emmanuel won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
