Help Emma through 12 rounds of treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Emma is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇩🇪 Berlin, Berlin, Germany112 views
Emma was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in September. The oncology team at Berlin Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Emma is 36, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Berlin Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $5,700 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,100
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,600
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,000

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Emma.
Scans and lab work is $1,100 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for looking so closely.
Hang in there, Uwe. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 13 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless!
