Emma is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a nursing degree at Nuremberg Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,500.
The registrar has said Emma can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Emma has a 3.6 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Emma would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Emma isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $4,500 goes:

• Exam and lab fees: $175
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,625
