The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Medellín is running low just as demand rises; $550 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Saturday from the back of a community center. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 234 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 57% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Medellín market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $550 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $120
• Refrigeration and electricity: $85
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $345
I hope life is good to you.

Best of luck, Emilio. Hope this works out for you
Take care, Emilio. Great idea, hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Chattanooga this morning. All the best.
Rooting for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Medellín.
