Help Emanuele pay for gallbladder removal at Rome University Hospital
A scheduled gallbladder removal in July is out of reach without help covering $3,400 of the cost.

Emanuele was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in May. The surgeon at Rome University Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,250, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $3,400 short.
my father has been in and out of Rome University Hospital since May. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Emanuele struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Emanuele won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,200
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $1,200
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $290
• Post-operative medication: $190
• Physiotherapy sessions: $290
• Travel and lodging for the family: $230
