Ellie is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a law degree at Scranton Polytechnic, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $6,500.
The registrar has said Ellie can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ellie has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ellie would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Ellie isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Scranton Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

• Final term tuition: $2,900
• Exam and lab fees: $210
• Textbooks and materials: $140
