Ella was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in March. The surgeon at Syracuse Community Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,700, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,350 short. my mother has been in and out of Syracuse Community Hospital since March. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,700 is more than we can find. While we wait, Ella struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift.
