Help Elijah keep the the Sunday Shelf pantry stocked
Elijah runs a volunteer pantry feeding 197 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Monday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 197 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 58% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Anaheim market and keep every receipt.
Each $55 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,450
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,500
• Baby formula and diapers: $430
• Refrigeration and electricity: $170

rooting for you. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Anaheim.
Wishing you the best. More neighborhoods should do this. We're a small family in Salem but we're thinking of you. Love from Salem.
Wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Riyadh.
You're not alone. Hope you get there. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care
