The electricity and water account is 2 months behind. Eli received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless $1,150 is paid. He had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Eli called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $190 first, which isn't available.
The household includes an elderly mother, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Eli is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Eli's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
