Help Eleanor keep her home - 3 months behind on rent
A long illness left Eleanor short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.

When my hours were cut in half in August, Eleanor fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a termination letter was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $2,500.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, the family must leave.
There are a toddler and a baby at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Eleanor has started working night deliveries, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $1,500
• Late fees and court costs: $290
• Utilities in arrears: $280
• First month of rent as a buffer: $430
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Keep going, Eli. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Thinking of you, Eli. Looking forward to the next update. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best
Keep going, Eli. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
