Help Diya keep the Community Pantry pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for elderly neighbors in Nagpur.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 18 families, and now we feed 336 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 50% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nagpur market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $450 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $75
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $330
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
Updates from Diya
Good news. Because of your gifts ($213 in total) I made the first payment toward fresh vegetables and fruit. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
- Bianca Simone Rezende 🇧🇷 · $14
- Apio Atieno Kigozi 🇰🇪 · $99
- Nevaeh S. Young 🇬🇧 · $202.50
- Francisca Guimarães 🇧🇷 · $10

Sending good thoughts. More neighborhoods should do this. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
