Help Divya through 4 rounds of treatment for a rare sarcoma
Divya is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇮🇳 India372 views
Divya was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at Mumbai University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Divya is 57, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mumbai University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $630
• Scans and lab work: $155
• Transport to Mumbai University Hospital: $150
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80
• Household costs while unable to work: $385
Thanks for reading all this.
