Help Dinesh keep the Open Hands Pantry pantry stocked
The Open Hands Pantry pantry in Biratnagar is running low just as demand rises; $350 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Thursday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 378 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 41% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Biratnagar market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $350 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $150
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $65
• Baby formula and diapers: $70
• Refrigeration and electricity: $65

Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Biratnagar.
gave what I could, wish it was more. We're a small family in Allentown but we're thinking of you.
Thanks for sharing this, Dinesh. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Sending love. More neighborhoods should do this. All the best!
Sending strength. I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
Any update on how things are going in Biratnagar?
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from San Jose.
Hang in there, Dinesh. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
Thanks for sharing this, Dinesh. More neighborhoods should do this. Thinking of Biratnagar.
Good luck. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Biratnagar.
Wishing you peace, Dinesh. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Yonkers so I could bring a meal.
Good luck. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
