Dimitrios was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in August. The surgeon at Thessaloniki Community Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,150, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $2,900 short.
my husband has been in and out of Thessaloniki Community Hospital since August. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,150 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Dimitrios struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Dimitrios won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Dimitrios
