Dewi was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in April. The surgeon at Semarang Community Hospital recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,700, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $850 short.
my sister has been in and out of Semarang Community Hospital since April. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,700 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Dewi struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
