Help Devi through 6 rounds of treatment for colon cancer
Devi is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Devi was diagnosed with colon cancer in July. The oncology team at Paarl Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Devi is 56, worked as a nurse until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Paarl Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,800
• Scans and lab work: $260
• Transport to Paarl Cancer Centre: $230
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $115

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Devi.
Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $1,800. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Let me know if you want more detail.
