Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Wednesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 222 each week. Donations have dropped by about 56% this summer, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nashik market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $350 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $90 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $130 • Baby formula and diapers: $110 • Refrigeration and electricity: $20 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Updates from Devi

  1. Update from Nashik: I made the first payment toward baby formula and diapers. We're at 32% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($14 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
