Help Derek keep the Community Pantry pantry stocked
Derek runs a volunteer pantry feeding 213 families; this fund restocks shelves for the summer.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Sunday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 213 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 36% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Riverside market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $860
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $990
• Refrigeration and electricity: $300
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

You're not alone. Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Columbus so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
Good luck, Derek. Hope this works out for you. After 22 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Sending strength, Derek. Looking forward to the next update. It's not much but it's yours. All the best.
