Help Deepa keep the Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry stocked
Deepa runs a volunteer pantry feeding 380 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Monday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 380 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 60% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nashik market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $240
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $130
• Baby formula and diapers: $40
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
Glad we found this place.
